I went back and tried it again today. Is it undrinkable? No. Is it the worst I've ever had... no. It's just not worth the price or searching for. Most stores hide this stuff for their vip's or have it on a point system. For 70+ there's just so many better options. Honestly, it reminds me of a barrel proof 7 year heaven hill. I have the bottled in bond. This Elijah is harsh on the finish and burns all the way down into my stomach. Didn't use to do that. But the Heaven Hill BIB does. I will drink it and not waste the money, but I would never buy this again and wish I hadn't the first time. It's unfortunate because this has been one of my favorites for years.
